Thank you for your family holiday greetings and update. We appreciate hearing from all you folks. It looks like this year will be very exciting with the excellent combination of sailing and family. Our year was really pretty nice. My employer, Magtek, was able to make some profit and hang tough in a pretty seriously down market. Things are looking up though. Madeleine is seeing an upswing in requests for programming by her collection of clients. Our kids, Jessica and Gavin, are happy in school and really enjoying racing their Opti’s. Gavin is in Green fleet at 8 years old, and Jessica just returned from the Orange Bowl with some excellent new found experience and skills. We are continuing to enjoy our sailing time on Ripple. I am racing on Allure, an SC 50, and we work with our kids in the Opti racing scene. We did cruise Ripple to Catalina Island last summer for 5 consecutive weekends. That was an awesome stretch of fun weekends. I navigated Allure in Transpac to a first to finish in our division, and a 2nd in Division on corrected time. It was another fun trip across to the islands. We are studying the options for a support boat to take us out on the water at the junior events. |
